THE VALIANT.

A gorgeous little movie from Filmtraits that really tugs at the heart strings and makes you smile too!

Photographer Randy Larcombe and Art Director Mike Wilson are the driving force behind  Filmtraits and I look forward to delving into the moving image with them in the future.

Naomi Murrell - Jewellery Designer.

Photographer Sven Kovac shot some beautiful new images for Naomi’s website and forthcoming print campaign and I was happy to be asked to add the finishing touches.

From the website:

Naomi Murrell designs keepsakes for fun lovers. Driven by the impulse to capture beauty and share it with others, Naomi’s ethically produced jewellery is big on hope, happiness and simple pleasures.’

Deluxe Design 2011.

This is unfortunately the final edition of Deluxe Adelaide magazine. It was a great outlet for creativity in Adelaide and will be sorely missed by everyone involved in it’s creation and production.

I had some challenging requests from art director Ed Schillace this time around, 3 of the images are major composite’s of 6 or 7 separate images, hair colour was changed on one model to match the rest, models had to be resized and moved to better fit the frame and some fairly serious crease removal had to be done on the clothes. There was more but I don’t want to give too many secrets away…..!

Anglicare - Annual Report 10/11.

Anglicare is a not-for-profit organisation that works with people, families and their communities to enhance their abilities to cope with the challenges of life and relationships.

Photographer Steven Nicholls asked me to create a warm, welcoming dream like quality to the images for this project to help convey the many services Anglicare is involved with.

Seafood of the Eyre Peninsula.

This beautiful 72 page guide was produced as a showcase for the incredible seafood industry of the Eyre Peninsula in South Australia.

The fish were originally suspended in mid air with all sorts of rigging/toothpicks and sticky tape, then it was my job to remove it all in post to create a seamless illusion.

It was a great experience to be working again with photographer Randy Larcombe, he always has a clear understanding of the final image, and how to shoot all the elements needed to make it all come together in post.

You can see more of the finished images plus before and after shots on my website.

Colour.

I did some retouching work recently for a new emerging fashion label here in Australia - Chi The Label.

Amongst other things, the client wanted to see a few options other than the grey background, so I used a detailed layer mask and the selective colour adjustment in Photoshop to create some different looks.

The advantage of using a layer mask means once it’s done, the background can be easily changed to anything the client’s heart desires, giving greater flexibility and options without breaking the budget.

Addis Ababa.

Very happy to have been invited by photographer Cameron Bloom to work on a collection of his beautiful images to be used in a fund raising exhibition for the Hamlin Fistula Hospital in Addis Ababa.

Archival Giclee prints are available for purchase, all proceeds will be donated to the charity so it’s worth checking out.

To find out more about the hospital and the amazing work they do, please visit the website.
